Waterloo Bar and Kitchen Restaurant and Function Room.
Restaurants in the Waterloo area have not had the best
reputation over the years. It seems strange that there are not a
plethora of quality Waterloo restaurants close to one of
London’s Main Stations.
The Waterloo area also contains some of London’s
major landmarks. The Old Vic Theatre, The London Eye and Imax
Theatre;
to name a few. Restaurants near to Waterloo Station also have a
massive attraction as thousands of customers who travel from the
City have the option to take a detour, on their Journey home, as
they get off the Waterloo tube and visit a Waterloo restaurant
before getting on a mainline train to their homes. The Waterloo Bar
and Kitchen Restaurant prides itself on representing a Waterloo
Restaurant which provides a quality product at a fair price. The
London Waterloo area is benefiting from significant investment at
the moment and two new Waterloo Restaurants have opened since
January 2008. The Waterloo Bar and Kitchen can confidently declare
that it represents a Restaurant and Function Room near to Waterloo
Station which will not disappoint and which has already earned a
great reputation and intends to contribute significantly to the
improving reputation of Waterloo as an area and to the improvement
of Waterloo Restaurants.
A great Waterloo Restaurant near to Old Vic
Theatre!
The Waterloo Bar and Restaurant décor creates a very
relaxed and intimate dinning experience, however, the high ceilings
and open kitchen keep the room fresh and spacious. The floor staff
are efficient and professional and they understand how to be
attentive without being intrusive. Head Chef, David Greenhalgh,
sources the freshest seasonal ingredients and insists on making
everything himself; from Chicken Liver Pate or Cumberland Sauce to
Lemon Tart or Baked Chocolate Fondant. The dishes are simple but
delicious and although the menu deliberately appeals to a wide range
of people it is still interesting. The restaurant also features
different specials every day. The restaurant is the direct neighbour
of The Old Vic Theatre and it is two minutes walk from Waterloo
Station. Many Old Vic Customers choose to have post-theatre meals as
the Restaurant is so close to the Theatre and it is very easy to get
home.
The
restaurant, function room and bar at Waterloo are open seven days a
week, if you want to take a brief break on your journey home from
Waterloo, the restaurant can accommodate customers who want to chat
over a bottle of wine just as well as those eating three courses. In
addition to the normal menu, an added attraction at the weekends,
are the tempting ‘all day’ brunches like smoked salmon and scrambled
eggs, eggs benedict or the good old ‘Full English breakfast.’ On
Sundays the Waterloo Restaurant offers a traditional Sunday Roast
with all the trimmings as well as the restaurant brunch. When the
sun shines there are tables outside the restaurant for the al fresco
experience.
Waterloo Bar and Kitchen Private Function
Room

Situated in the restaurant basement is a private function room which
can accommodate up to 30 people for a sit down meal or up to 50
people for drinks or canapés. This Waterloo function room is quickly
becoming a popular venue for birthday parties and leaving ‘do’s’. A
number of Waterloo and City businesses also value the convenience of
the location together with the projector, projector screen and
private bar, ideal for meetings, lunches and dinners or throwing a
party. The proximity of Waterloo Station makes it a fantastic
central London meeting point and enables every guest to travel home
easily.
Where better to eat well and enjoy a drink or two in private just
two minutes from your train home!
